Homeland, Georgia: Self Published, 2006. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good +. VG+/VG+/ Pre Published. This is a copy of a book in progress, Mr. Crews was planning to publish a book later. Unfortunately he died at 83 years old in 2012. The large paperback with a spiral binding, introduces the beginning of the 1906 Colony Company and Homeland Georgia. Many of the early residents went on to become the leading citizens of Homeland. Also churches, city council members, business owners, local families. There are some illustrations, and quite a few photos. A very important addition to the local history of Homeland, located in Charlton County Georgia. I could find no other copy offered, even the local library. Clean inside and out, obviously handled, but with care, and is now in a acid free document bag.

The News Printing Office, Tidioute, 1897. Good. Jahu Hunter biography, funeral service, memorial address and home reminiscences. From Find a Grave: "Jahu Hunter was born in Limestone Township, Warren County, Pa. and started his career in the timber industry, cutting trees and rafting them to Pittsburgh. He would return from these trips on foot or by steamboat.The partnership of Mabie and Hunter was formed in 1868. Their business was in general merchandising and lumber until 1882. In 1871 he helped start the Tidioute Savings Bank, of which he gradually became the chief owner, and in 1883 he became President of the bank. In 1873 he formed a partnership with H. H. Cummings in the oil business. They were also associated in other holdings such as wheat lands in North Dakota, the Missouri Lumber and Mining Company, and timbering in Missouri. He married Lillian Acomb on 6 January 1887, in Tidioute, Warren, Pennsylvania, United States. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Pennsylvania, United States in 1870 and Deerfield Township, Warren, Pennsylvania, United States in 1900. He died on 20 April 1902, in Turner Landing, Ballard, Kentucky, United States, at the age of 41, and was buried in Tidioute Cemetery, Tidioute, Warren, Pennsylvania, United States."
